Lithium battery performance in older bikes. Charging system upgrade?

    Wow, the cost is a little bit much and there is no track record for them, sounds interesting from the initial tests they ran though.
    I guess they can be charged the same way a SLA is charged.

    I've got a Moty LiFe on my Gen5 and it was fine until just recently. Now having problems. I'll post when I have a resolution (hopefully).

    Maybe a better option? I've used these in my bikes for a few years now, no problems:

    Motorcycle Batteries - RBbatteries

    When I played with R/C airplanes, lithium batteries came into play due to being so light. Only problem was sometimes they like to catch fire or explode if there is any charging issues. Don't know if the weight loss is worth burning down the bike, or the garage it's parked in, or the house the garage is attached to! Have these problems been solved?

    Nothing could be further from the truth with LiFePO4 batteries used in motorcycle applications. Regardless of brand, all of these are intrinsically safe and have ABSOLUTELY no danger of catching fire.
