Is it ok to use liquid gasket for my stator cover. The bike is an 86 VFR750. Gaskets a re getting to be a bitch to find. If so, any recommendations on type. Thanks!

Well i've used the permatex gasket in a can on a couple side covers, timing covers, and oil pans and find that stuff to be absolutely amazing. Get yourself some and have at it.

If you have any oil drips from that cover the large hose to the waterpump will eventually rot apart, dumping all your coolant.
