 Well I know how some of you track guys really hate the linked breaks, but after yesterday I have to say that they performed so good that they may have saved my life. I was riding with a new friend from the GStwin forum...that's right I have been cheating on you guys..but anyway we came upon an unmarked corner that came out of nowhere. I was in the lead and there was a cager taking his half out of my lane. I was hard on the breaks and had to negotiate the corner in about a quarter of the inside of my lane. I made it without so much as a skid. My friend on the other hand did not. The GS could not bear the breaking and locked up sending her into a skid that would not enable he to ragain control. The gravel did not help either. She wrecked but was ok. So never bad mouth those linked breaks again....OK!..

I think most of us have accepted them. It just is kind of aggravating that it wasn't optional like the ABS on the new bikes. Since I bought my bike used, it's really a moot point for me anyway.

As Honda already had CBS on the CBR1000F & SuperBlackbird before the VFR, they were probably trying to set some sort standard to their sports tour bikes...

Like most once used think CBS is good although it allows you to be a little lazy with front / rear braking which is not a good thing riding a Non CBS bike.
