Hello VFR World members...my first post and glad to be back in the VFR world! I just picked up a new 2007 (loved the burgandy/red color) yesterday and am really enjoying being back on this bike again. I traded an '04 CBR 1000RR that I had put about 5K miles on since buying it new in 2004. Prior to that I had a 2002 VFR that I purchased new and put 14K miles on in just over two years. I really had fun on the CBR - but gave it up for two reasons: 1) too "single purpose" for my motorcycle needs (I like to take longer trips and it was not comfortable for that purpose) and, 2) A group of us were riding pretty agressively and I knew it was only a matter of time - not to mention the "ego riding" that seems to occur with certain members of the sport bike crowd just made things tense all the time.

Happy to be back on the VFR and looking forward to riding, riding, and more riding...not to mention a mod or two:wink:

Welcome back! Yes the viffer does seem to be nice all around. The CBR1000RR has got to be a blast though. I sat on one at the dealer and it felt really well balanced, though the crouching position I couldn't do for too long.

Just got in from a short ride (50 miles) and still smiling...great bike!! Getting lots of compliments on the red/burgandy color too!

Thanks everyone for the welcome and I'm located in the 1000 Oaks/Simi Valley area of SoCal!
