Has anyone done an LED tail light conversion/modulator for a 6th gen? I have heard you could swap out the existing bulbs and the LED's are much brighter. I assume the turn signals could also be swapped. Any info would be appreciated.
Heard of people adding clear lences but so far nothing on led's or modulators, i would be intrested on hearing if you did find some...extra brightness would be good.
This place sells modulating LED's called the "THE BRAKER FLASHING BRAKE LIGHT BULB The BRAKER strobes brightly at 20 flashes per second for two seconds every time you hit the brakes .........After 2 seconds the lights stays bright as long as your foot is on the brake" 1157 1156 Superlumination.com leds (Automotive Replacement Light Bulbs, Headlights, Foglights & Lamps) YouTube - Chrysler 300
Everything that I've seen says that OEM style bulbs are brighter and cheaper. Having said that, I run an auxiliary "Night Rider" brake light from the link below. Signal Dynamics Motorcycle LED Light Bars Mac
I have done the brake light modulator on '07 with a led license bracket. I think the led bulb replacements are availble for the most common size bulbs. www.signaldynamics.com and Safety Electronics For Motorcycles might be resources.
I have Kisan brake light modulators on both my bikes and love them. On the VFR I only wired it into one of the lamps so if it croaks I still have one brake / tail light. I also have Hyperlights on my V-Strom but haven't put any on my VFR yet.
