Leaky fork seal

    Hey my 85 vf500 is leaking oil out the oil seal. Is there detailed iñstructions on how to do it somewhere on this site. Tryin to avoid a 300 hundred dollar shop bill

    You can try this to stop the leakage. I tried it on mine this year and it's been over 2k miles without a drop of fluid leaking out afterwards. Quite a few of others have also done the same with good results. Check it out.

    Clean off whatever dirt or bugguts build up on the forks after every ride to help preserve seals.

    Goofy thing. Replaced my seals two years ago. A year later, left one started leaking! But if I keep about 10 pounds of air in them, they don't leak a drop.
