Laguna Moto GP 2009

I just bought myself my birthday present. My birthday is July 4th. Which happens to be Moto GP weekend at Laguna Seca/Mazda Raceway near Monterey, Ca.
I bought a 3 day pass, paddock pass, and camping pass for the moto area at Fox Hill(inside the park).
I know many folks attend regularly, and have thought about or already made their arrangements for this year. We can use this thread to coordinate/communicate with each other.

:thumb: It is on! OK, all of you west coast folks let's see if we can't get some type of MotoGP party rolling for this year, plenty of time, so no friggin' lame excuses.

One of the biggest perks for me moving back to CA was returning to Laguna Seca, I can't imagine this get together not being one of the highlights of the year...

 

I'm mixed.

I've been to WSB & MotoGP several times in Monterey, & I have really enjoyed it. Usually stayed at a hotel (normal rate X like 3), and get the box seat deal in turn 3 or 4



w/ "superfood" - they have great catering - "free" beer & wine & water. our OWN delux portapotty...



and have a swell time. And this year, I'm living really close to the track - easy 1 day ride...a morning really....


But the 4th of July holiday weekend & the traffic & the cost...........Idunno....


when is WSB?....guess i could look it up.....

WSBK is memorial day weekend....in Utah

i have fewer choices than I thot..........

 

Oh, let the drinking begin...

It's on my calendar. I've even gone so far as to tell the people that haven't hired me yet, that I'm unavailable that weekend.

And as far as my current job goes, it's already a company holiday since the owner goes every year.

 

If I can find a place to stay within 30 miles of the track I'll do a multi day stay. I just found out I'm off that Friday so the 3-day weekend is possible. If i can't find a place then I'll just ride up for the Sunday finals. I WILL be there for at least the Sunday.

The search begins...

Hell YES !!! This year is gonna be off the hook ! We'll ( :reg: and myself + our own personal ) have 2 days at the track, plus we'll have all nite for down town Cannery Row, 4th of July celebrations/fireworks, drinkin' :drinkers: and partying arty2: without having to ride anywhere but back to the track the next day :thumbsup:
