I have several bikes lined up for the off season to keep me busy and give me my bike fix but it would not be an off season here at my place if I did'nt do something to Kristin's gen3. I patched it up after she layed it over in the gravel(twice) but never took it off the road long nuff to do it the what I wanted. The paint was not up to par and I want to use better quality paint and finish for next year.
Mods are gonna likely be an upgraded headlight of some sort, maybe new mirrors, braided stainless rear brake lines, undertail exhaust, and because of the undertail, new plate mount, tail light and sigs.
This is her bike this year and a basic idea of where we want to go with it.

Nice work boss! I have see some of your other jobs as well. I like and appreciate your skill and work efforts. One question though.....how many clear coats do you use? Sorry to be picky, but it looks to need some more "depth."

Yes it does need more clear, The paint fom this year was a quick fix to get her riding again. The last bike it brought back from the scrap pile, http://vfrworld.com/forums/anything-goes/27324-eds-suzuki-tl1000r-before-after.html , was short on clear too due to the owner not wanting to post up an extra $40 FOR MORE THAN ONE CLEAR COAT!!!. Rage aside, this is my baby's bike, and a HONDA VFR, so I'm not planning on cutting corners on paint this time.

Oh, I totally understand.... it wasn't a knock, just a curiosity. I now remember you having her fix her bike like three times in a few months... You could do better than me if you had your eyes closesd and a chicken on your lap....not sure why you would want a chicken on your lap though

Are those stripes a sticker kit, or did you tape them off and paint them?

They are masked and painted. I have used vinal stickers before, had mixed results with them. When they get over I certain size I have had a hard time keeping them from getting a ripple or tear. I plan on masking these ones off too.
