Ever since I have gotten my bike (at 4500 miles) there is a knocking sound on moderately hard accelerations and it only lasts for a few seconds like between 5000 and 6000 rpm's; basically right before I shift. It makes the normal cam gear whine during cruising speeds and idle. I was wondering if any other of you 5G owners have this same knock and what it might be and if I should be worried.
No I haven't figured it out. I think it may be the flapper valve under the gas tank, but I'm not sure.
