Just bought a '93... when I put it on the kickstand, it seems to lean over way further than any bike I've owned before. The stand does not appear to be bent. Are these bikes known for leaning over really far?

Mine (93 as well) also leans over farther on the sidestand than I'm comfortable with, don't trust it so I just use the centerstand unless it's on a bit of a hill so it sits straighter. Don't know if it would fall or not, but I'm not eager to find out.

oooh... I can't seem to find my center stand... is it possible someone removed it??? or is it cleverly hidden behind some piece of plastic like everything else on this bike?

    Cheers.

    Terry.

Try posting a picture of your ride's underside so we can see the mount points. Then I can tell you if something is amiss or the thing is just tucked up behind stuff.

If yours is a third generation bike (can't speak for the later 4g bikes) then the centerstand was an option (factory honda part dealer installed) and not standard equipment. While 90% of purchasers added it, leaving it off allowed Honda to claim a lower curb weight for the bike. Wish they would expend the same amount of planning in just making the new ones lighter, I'd like to replace mine soon and I keep waiting for it to become something better than what I already have....

Can you add a center stand to a 92 VFR, if it didn't come with one? Where is the best place to buy the part? Does Honda still sell them at a reasonable price? Is the center stand the same part between the third and fourth generation bikes? Any info appreciated.
