For those of us who can't ride year round, just a little something to keep your riding skills sharp during the cold winter months,MSF perception quiz.

Awesome tests! Thanks for providing them. First time around, I got a 19/20 on the signs and 16/20 on the other one. My second attempt yielded a 17/20 on the road test. What I find is that some of my answers address the immediate situation solution. For example: in the slide where I'm in the right lane of a 3-lane street, and a car is about to enter my lane from a parking lot, I answered that I would slow down. The program said that although this is a good answer, changing lanes to the left would be better. I would definitely change lanes, but I'd slow down first to give me some time to avoid colliding with the entering car and to check my mirrors/check my blind spot to see if there's room for me to make the lane change. Also, slowing down instead of changing lanes may be more advantageous because checking your mirrors/blindspot would require you to take your attention off the entering care, whereas slowing down wouldn't. Not ranting or complaining here, just saying that some of our answers may still be correct in certain situations.

for perception, first try I got 15/20, then a 16/20.
It would help to be riding, not just looking at a picture....

I had 17/20 on the road and was perfect on the signs - but i'm a transportation engineer by trade so i better have done well! I agree with jaimev about road situations - i also hope that i would have predicted some of the situations well in advance so i would have more time to react.

At medium 17/20 on road hazards and 15/20 on signs.

A co-worker distarcted me on signs so I should have had a 18 LOL!

See how those "distractions" can get you!?

That was a good link, thanks!

18/20 signs, and 15/20 traps, both at fast speed.

    need to concentrate more...

18/20 on both. They should make this stuff mandatory for license renewal considering the crazy skills we see out on the roads.
