Okay, since I did a review of my new helmet, I thought I may as well review the one I just replaced. I spent over a year with this helmet and would still be using it if the shiled holder hadn't broken when it fell off my bike seat. Anyway, here are my categories again in no particular order: fit, cost, noise, looks, weight.

Fit: The KBC fit me pretty well. I never had any problems in the year I had it.

Cost: Excellent value. The style is discontinued now, but it can still be found in the $100-$170 range.

Noise: It's a fairly loud helmet. It could be improved with a NOJ quiet rider or comparable.

Looks: I was completely satisfied with the looks of the helmet. I liked the fact that even after I scratched the helmet, since it was a matte finish and kind of a war zone look, it didn't matter.

Weight: It was a little heavier than my new helmet (see Shoei RF 1000 review) but never seemed excessively heavy.

    Likes: cost, looks.
Nits: buffeting more noticeable at speed.
