Just signed up and pround owner of a New "Left Over" 2007 VFR Interceptor 25th Anniversary!

Well for starters I'm a newbie here and proud owner of an '07 VFR Interceptor 25th anniversary model. Well not just yet! Picking her up next Monday 3/29/2010 and I can't wait!!!! I've been in the market for a sport/tourerfor a while now and couldn't make mind up whether a Kawi Concours, Yami FJR, and others to that i can't name. But I started to think back to my childhood days and the one bike that popped into my head was the Honda Interceptor from like '86!! i started doing some research and sure enough the '07 25th Ann. came into play. I saw it and said that's the bike I want. started to search my local bike shops and sure enough, didn't have to go far. Danbury PowerSports up here in CT had one and at a great price! Couldn't pass it up and dropped a deposit on it. Bike is a true Gem! It brings me back to the days of watching the neighbor with his '86 Interceptor....can't wait to to pick her up!
Oh and I also wanna say that Noel at Danbury PowerSports is a true proffesional salesman! thanks dude for getting me into this gem of a bike!

Congratulations on the new bike. Like you, when I think VFR, I think 1986. However I do love my '07 as well. I'm sure you will too. Welcome.

I'm new here too and yet to purchase a VFR. I'm also considering an 07 leftover. What did you pay for the 07? Just the bike, excluding tax, title, destination etc...

Well Doug I got it for 7200 bucks.. Think it was a great deal considering the fact that it's a 3 year old bike. Noel "salesman" stated the the Honda rep showed up and told him he had 2 VFR's crated still and if Danbury PowerSports wanted one. Sure enough they took the 25th Anni. RWB...the other was a the dark wine color..I did part away from my '03 Suzuki SV650S Copper Orange. Great bike and had much fun with it.

 

Thanks for the info !! Beautiful Bike !! Hopefully I can snag one myself, be it an "Anniversary Edition" or a regular 07 leftover VFR. Although the Anniversary edition is, IMHO, nicer and will likely get you a better resale when you sell it down the road...

Enjoy your new ride !! Weather is changing !! I'm in Jersey now but grew up in Trumbull CT as a child and moved to Milford CT when it was time to leave the parents nest... Danbury area is great Bike country...

Welll guys I wanna say thanks again for welcoming me to this great forum here, and as soon as I take delivery of my VFR (3/29/10) I will post some pics and then some. I forgot to meantion that I did have to part away my '03 Suzuki SV650S Copper Orange, it was a great bike to ride many miles of fun with it. Just got a bit on the uncomfy side for commuting. I commute approx. 150 miles to work, round trip. So that's how I came too picking this great bike, VFR.
Thanks again and hopefully I'll catch up with some of you out here on the roads.

 

Hey adam thanks and that sounds like a plan! Would like to ride up there and check out some new places my other riding buddy loves those kinds of rides. He has an FJR1300. April 18th sounds good I'll mark it on my schedule. I'm actually down here in N/E Putnam Co. borders New Fairfield Co.

Chep, i was at that dealership last week and looked at the bike. It was a nice sticker price. Welcome to the club. If you venture into CT, there are a few of us VFR guys and we go on some nice rides, you should come along some time (visit the subforums North East). Enjoy your RWB
