    Hi guys,

well I passed my motorbike test about three weeks ago and purchased my first bike which is as above, fantastic bit of kit but in need of a few bits and bobs in order to get it looking great again.

most of the things i need can be sourced bu I am having real trouble looking for a particular bolt, have tried David Silver spares and various other uk places butt i cant seem to source it anywhere.

the part in question is the bottom side cover bolt, which was missing when i bought the bike, it has one on the right side but the left side bolt is missing.

I have attached a pic and it is bolt 13 that im looking for, however it doesnt have to be the excat vbotl if anyone else knows of something else tha would do the job ?

    anyway hoping you can help

in all honesty mate, its not that type of bolt, its a sort of quick release locking turn bolt as it were ? hard tot explain but not a standard threaded bolt. I dont think anyway ?

awesome thanks a bunch yonan managed to find one on wemoto :)

so does anyone have any tip[s or tricks on this bike in terms of how o get i working 100% ?

the bike is a import and has done around 50k miles seems sweet enough when im riding it, however is there anything i should be looking out for ?

the bike has been sorned for 2 years so has had no use other than the odd start and rev up during that time so should i be looking at having anything checked over ?

    Your welcome,

Check the wiring from r/r, drain a refill coolant, oil change and ride safe.

as soon as i get her cleaned up a bit you can be sure i will :)

the bike itself is pretty much standard except its been resprayed from the original white to the newer black and gold of slightly later VFR's (I think)

It isnt in perfect condition though and looks like it may have been dropped on both sides as the fairing is a little cracked, but other than that and the expected stone chips for a bike this age its not too bad.

I is a little project first bike for me as well though as i will be slowly restoring her money allowing, already looking at footrests, new screen, new grips etc all those little things that just tidy her up a bit, have been oying with teh idea of a respray but then having been quoted £500 Im thinking its alittle over the top for a bike that cost me just £400 !

500 pds? of what? okay that was a little joke.....anyway not sure what that converts to our dollar but if you want the bike looking good...then its worth it..

in dollars thats about 800 Dollars I think

but seeing as though the bike itself only cost around 650 dollars Im unsure as yet. however hat was for all the stickers to be painted on if you know what i mean so it would have been a excellent allround job, he also said if i wanted a custom paint job i would be about the same price ! so im still mulling it over in all honesty :)
