    Hello everyone.

I had planned to meet some friends in Vegas in october, rent Ultra Glides and ride to Orlando. Once I learned that the rental would cost me $2500 I decided to purchase a bike rather than rent.

I ended up finding a really nice low mile 02 VFR and bought it after reading some threads about it's long distance touring abilities.

I'm coming from an 86 XL600r so if the VFR is any more plush than that I think I'll have a good chance of riding 2500 miles in 9 days without suffering a completely broken ass. Wish me luck.

    :)

Good luck. The VFR can do 2500 miles in nine days without breakin' a sweat. Hell, the bike could do it in two days if you could hang.

    Welcome to the zoo!

Test your electrical system and battery thoroughly before you leave since all VFR's prior to 2006 were prone to electrical gremlins.
