Yesterday I purchased a 2003 VFR with 13000mi on it. I sold a 2005 Yamaha Vstar 650 classic earlier this week and decided to get something a little more sporty. My brother has an R-6 and a friend of mine has a new Triumph Bonneville, so I needed something that would keep up with them but still allow me to take long rides comfortably. I am please with it so far, it was a little cold today though. If anyone is around Memphis drop me a line and we can get together and go ride sometime. I am looking to some great riding on the bike.

Congrats Adam. I used to live pretty close to you, but now I'm afraid it would be one helluva commute for the ride. If you ever decide to do some long touring, I'd be happy to tag along for a bit, though. Welcome to the board...

    Adam,

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the group. As time goes by I think you will love your bike even more than you do now. I have taken some resonable trips on mine. I even went to Deals Gap. It's not a far distance from me, a little of 200 miles, but I think the most I have put on my bike in a day is around 400 miles. That's a lot of riding, but I had fun and the bike stayed comfortable all day.

Yeah, I know all about the trip to Deals Gap...me and my brother rode from Cookeville to Deals Gap and then back all the way to Memphis. It was a long ride on my Vstar. I am hoping to get a ride together with my dad, brother, and a couple of friends to the Gap next spring...this time I will be on my VFR!!! Thanks for the warm welcome and I look forward to chattin with all of ya.
