    Hey all,

Just ordered the second mod for my VFR, a Delkevic 450mm stainless exhaust. I ordered it locally for $AU299 including delivery (around $US256) which was a little higher than I could get it off EBay US, but I thought buying it locally would be a little quicker / more reliable.

I have asked for a second exhaust clip which they've said they'll throw in, is it a pretty straight forward job of pulling the old one off and putting the new one on? Also does anyone know the volume in db with and without the restrictor?

    Regards

    -Dave-

Takes all of 10 minutes. If stock is 85db, I'd say the Delkevic would be around 90db.

It's a pitty that Staintune want SO much for their pipes. I think more Australians would buy local if the prices were a little better :( Delkevic do not do a high mount do they? I would like to put a new can on too but would ultimately like a high mount. Viper do a standard mount for $300 & sound very good too...a little louder though. Decisions decisions ..........

Maybe. But even if ST had better pricing, I know a LOT of us would still keep buying Yoshimura.

Yeah one of the guys I work with had a 5th gen with a Staintune and really recommended it, unfortunately cost vs benefit I couldn't justify it. Delkevic only do a normal mount in stainless and "titanium" (with the blue bit at the wrong end of the exhaust) in 350mm and 450mm. High mount would have been nice, but I've read that it makes it a bit warm for the pillion, and based on the temps we've had in Adelaide recently I'd rather keep it as cool as possible for my other half :)

Maybe, but I think they still look and sound better than anything else on the market.

Exhaust has been installed. As I've been told it's not *massively* louder (which I prefer) but gives a much deeper note.

    Youtube'd

    Factory exhaust
    Delkevic with silencer
    Delkevic with no silencer

Shipping was quick (ordered and paid for lunch time Tuesday, arrived by courier Friday) and got 2 exhaust clips which was good (I asked for them)

I've now ordered some Helibars, so that should help with the ride height and make for a even better ride! :)
