Just wanted to share a good ride today, it was a little cool not bad, temp on bike showed 38 degrees, but the sun was out, clear skies, all geared up and I was nice and toasty, well except for my fingers, even with gloves my fingers seem to be the only part that always get frozen. This is my first Real bike, I've logged 3,000 miles or so in the first year of having her, but I continue to be amazed at every ride how well the bike performs, I'm kicking myself in the buttocks for not getting a bike 20 years ago, although had I done it back then I probably would have killed myself, I was heck on 4 wheels, so on 2 I would have pushed it even more. Back to the ride, wow, just good back roads with lots of twisties, barely saw a soul, although I always ride like there is a truck about to pull out in front of me, trying to keep myself from being lulled into the "empty" roads. Ok, ok, I gotta admit one of the best parts of the ride was meeting "girlie" for a quick bite, I like how most around here are "fair weather riders", so when I pull up on my bike they act like I'm nuts because it's below 40 degrees, walking into the restaurant I felt like an alien with the stares I got, but I always dress for the "fall", so I just smile at the looks. Dang, I heard bikes were addictive, but it has been much more so than I ever thought, and it's so much cheaper than therapy! :strong:
