Never had a minutes problem with my 10K mile 99VFR. Been reading the r/r posts and thought "not me". Took the VFR out today (98 degrees), shut it off for 3 minutes and it would not start. Rolled it down a hill, bump started it, and brought home thinking bad battery. Noticed the clock & trip meter reset also. Few hours later checked voltage (12.7), hit the button and it started like it never had a problem. Now I'm paranoid to venture far from the house. From everything I read sounds like I fell victim to the r/r jinx. Planning on a new r/r and VFRness to restore that warm fuzzy feeling again. Should have stayed away from the forum and she would have went forever.
Nah, it was going to get you sooner or later... At least by reading the forum you now know what the issue is and can fix it! :thumb: Go VFR World!!!
True. I had an r/r failure on a yammy I had and had no idea what was happening cause there were no forums like this back then.
