Well there you go. New to him bike, a few hours in the saddle and he not only has his on its side, he took you out with him. Bastard!

Hey Rob, it was awesome to meet you - thanks for the great dinner company and the escort out of Regina!

I feel like Saskatchewan owes me something - I must have wiped out more than 30% of the bug population on my way into Manitoba.

I got home at 5AM .... the biggest hold ups for me were that I was losing 1 hour coming back into Manitoba, I had to wipe my visor every 50km between Regina and the Manitoba border, and then I had to stop every 100km to warm up because I was chilled to the bone with an ambient temp of 10C while hurtling down the highway.

It was real rough waking up at 8:15AM this morning ... dropped the bike off at the dealer next door to my office at work here for the safety inspection.

 

Alright, I survived the ride home from Saskatoon, I survived a sleep deprived day at work, and I survived the ride home.

The bike is now officially safetied and fully insured. Damn, I'm tired.

It was awesome to meet up with Rob and have him keep me company over dinner, then escort / show me the way out of town (he really wanted me to go I guess ... lol).

Sweet Jeff! Looks brand new or whomever had it took excellent care of it. I need to get one of those VFR decals for the fairings like that. Mine just looks too plain like it's missing something. Ride on brudda.

 

I had no idea you two were related. Guess now's the time to disclose who we are related to on this site. SOW is no relation to me...even in my nightmares.....

Thx! Original owner since new - the guy is a long haul trucker and only insured the bike 6 out of the last 13 years, with 2011 being the most recent. 9,979km (6,200 miles) on it. Looks like it's been stored indoors its entire life because all the plastic on the controls and such look brand new ... like showroom new. It's damn clean.

I agree, those white rims looks sick ... especially on that bike. I'm going to get my rims done, either in gunmetal or silver.

Thanks ... it felt so good yesterday to be back in the saddle. Even better today with a bike back in the garage.

I won't lie, with the crash, I felt a little nervous for the first hour before I settled back in and rode it like a boss again.

Despite some the pain in my shoulder and foot, I honestly don't think that I could have picked a better trip for my first time back in the saddle again and rebuild my confidence / get rid of the yips.
