Well here it is again! Another year gone by and just like my little 650S, gone with the wind! Well I'm proud to say that in a few hours I'll be picking up my New "WELL LEFTOVER" '07 VFR800 INTERCEPTOR 25th ANNIVERSARY EDITION! I practically grew up with this bike as a kid and now I'm actually an owner of one of these machines. I'm kinda sad cause my SV650S and I had lots of fun as a first bike but just simply not made for the long haul rides which I do nowadays.
Well here I sit and look back to my childhood days and remembering the big guys on the block with there what "86 Interceptor's and now I have have my own. Well it's a good feeling, again going back to the days as kid with a "Mongoose Freestyle Bike" wishing and now owning a childhood dream! My own VFR800 Interceptor!!! 25th Anniversary of coarse!

    Well congratulations and Happy Birthday!

I traded in my SV650 on a red '07 last August. I loved the Suzuki as my "first big bike" but must confess that I've never been sorry about the move. As much as I wish I could say that I wanted the VFR for her great handling/power/reliability/wind protection/cooking ablilty; one the big factors for me was her pretty face. When I was taking my MSF course a few years ago one of the instructors had a dark red (I think it was an 03) that I simply couldn't take my eyes off.

Now that I've lived with her for 8 months the list of what I like about her includes (in absolutely no particular order):

Better ride quality on rough Connecticut back roads
    Top end rpm yee-haw!
    Top end rpm exhaust note
Less front fork drive under braking
    Center stand
    Pretty face
    Wind protection at highway speeds
    Easier to find neutral
    etc, etc

Everybody's list is different. Enjoy making your own!

Congrats. Nozzle's suggestion for your cake: Rig a table so you blow the candles out with the exhaust. Your wife will love it! :)

Congrats on the birthday present! I'm sure you'll do plenty of head turning. These VFR's do that so easily regardless of the color scheme. What a treat to be able to have an Anniversary Edition! Happy riding.
