New to VFR World, I have a couple of NT650 Hawks. Just looked at an add on Craigs list 2002 VFR800 with less than 5000 miles. Could you guys tell me what to look out for. Any major problems with the 1st gen VTEC etc. Any and all info would be appreciated.

I am not aware of any issues with the 2002...nothing has changed from 2002-2009 aside from the vtec transition changing in 2006. I would check to see if it has the recalls done, there was a recall on the sub wiring harness I believe. Aside from that just listen to it, check to make sure everything looks okay.

Yes, I believe that the VTEC engagement was lowered from 6800 rpm to 6400 rpm in 2006.

The only issue I foresee is getting off the bike once you are done with your test ride :)
Sleepless night till the bike is parked in your garage
Sleepless nights when you will be riding the next day
