I am installing heated grips and would prefer a switched power source. I have looked at both forward fuse boxes and the main one under the seat but have not found a dedicated(switched) output labeled for an aux load.

I would rather not tap into any existing circuits.

My only other option is off the battery with an indicator light on the rheostat's output or a illuminated in line switch.

    Thanks,

    Reg

P.S. I noticed a fuse labeled "lean angle sensor" or some such name. What on earth is that?

That is most likely the tip over sensor, this shuts the bike off if it gets dropped on its side while its running.
