Is it possible to use a modern R/R on first gen???

    Hi, i have an 86 700 with a bad rr, i thought i saw a post about using a newer model gsxr rr and am curious if it is doable for my application / which rr s to use

    There's a thread somewhere around here describing use of a GM truck R/R. I did it on my '84, bought from Autozone, slipped the blade-style pins (female) from the Honda plastic connector and they plugged right onto the blade-pins of the new R/R. Search existing R/R threads, I think he provides a picture and everything.

    I've bought a DZE replacement RR...it is bigger than the original but fits the bike without mods and the connector is already done...I've payed it 100€ in Italy...
