iPhone holster

So to everyone that owns a smartphone is there any good area's on the bike to place a phone mount? I wasn't too sure about the handlebars because it looks like the phone will hit the windshield if I turn left or right, anyone have any advice on a spot for one? Also looking for brands of mounts for the phones.

I bolt mine using the 2 front tank bolts.

 

i have a ram mount that goes into the center of my headset. there is a black plastic cap that comes off and then the ram mount goes in there. i like it as it is right in the center and out of the way. only mod i did to my otter box holster was add an elastic cord to keep the phone from bouncing out. dont ask.....

I am going to get a Lifeproof case from Outdoor GB and fit the Gopro mount to it. This means I can then stick the phone to the screen just above the clocks with a GoPro mount kit (which I have from the camera!).



My problem with steerer mounted phones is that when you have a tank bag it obscures the device. If you need to see the GPS whilst you are moving higher is better. I wouldn't be able to see the phone through the chin bit of my helmet!
