Hi all. Now that the iPhone 4 has been out for a month or so in the US, has anyone found a way to mount one to a VFR and use it to record video while riding? I'm interested in the mount used etc...

    Thanks

hell, I can't even use the old one cause of the touch screen. gloves wont operate it so I have to stop and take off my glove if I'm doing anything complicated. did they cahnge the screen on the new one? I always heard that electrical detection or some such was why the older style had such a good touch senitivity...

Nope, still capacitive touch, so a finger or similarly conductive material is needed. A SlimJim might work. Or, there's this stylus:

    Pogo Stylus

And capacitive touch is so much nicer than resistive. But it does have it's drawbacks (precision and pressure sensitivity with a stylus on a wacom tablet is a much better surface if you're an artist).

I'm not going to bother with a fancy iPhone mount. I've worked out that my iPad will fit in the bagster tank bag map pocket, where I can run my sat nav software (copilot) - the biggest screen you could ever want!!
