    Hi, my name is Marion.

    I live in the Netherlands and I own a VFR700F from 1986 since 2004.
When I saw it, I immediately fell in love, & I still am!
I have never seen one here in the Netherlands, or in Germany, it seems like mine is the only one!
I hope to get in touch with other owners.

    Marion.

I think there may be another member from there. Did you check the member map? It actually me many months to find other VFR riders to ride with here and I live in California where there are literally hundreds.

Oh, welcome to te board. Regardless if you find oter riders there or not, you'll get a nice feeling of community here.

Hi and welcome to the group. Glad to hear you still love and enjoy your bike. I had never seen another VFR here in Kentucky until a few months back and other than riding with a group I still don't see many. But I have met a few who live here in KY with them but they are few and far between.

    Hey Marion. Welcome!

I am a big fan of the Dutch. I trained with some of your country's medics on my last roation to Afghanistan. Great bunch of guys. My unit is going to perform an "exchange" parachute jump this week with some Dutch Paratroopers that are in town. I am really looking forward to it.

Again, welcome to the group. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Thank you all for your replies, it makes me feel welcome!

To Vinny: I have been in Kentucky, it's a beautifull state! I made a raodtrip from Indianapolis to Louisville once. How is it to ride in the USA, you do have a speedlimit of 55 mph, don't you? In the Netherlands we have speedlimits too, but in Germany you may ride as fast as you can (or dare). Since we live close to the German border, we hardly ride in the Netherlands. (We is my husband & me, he owns a Suzuki TL1000S from 1997.) My speedrecord is 220 kilometers per hour, but my VFR can go much faster! Next year I will trie harder, see what he can do.

To Chris: we Dutch are very nice people!
So you where in Afganistan. I do know one person who has been there too, he just got back, unharmed. I think it's terrible that so may soldiers die over there.
And you are a paratrooper, cool! I wish that I had the guts to do that too, but I always need to feel the ground. It must be wonderfull to "fall" out of a plane and make a free dive!
Where are those Dutch guys from?

    Marion

Marion...sorry for the delay....I owe you an answer on NLDSOFs hometown. I am not sure off the top of my head.

I like jumping almost as much as riding my VFR!

Yes, it is sad to see good men die, my unit has lost 4 men in the last month. Rest assured we need to be there, and we are making a difference. Thats as far as I delve into politics on this forum.

    Hi Chris,

You're right, I'm sorry, this forum is for people who love to ride their bikes, not for political issues...

Too bad the weather is changing. It has been freezing here, so they had to put salt on the streets. That is very bad for our bikes, so I have to wait to march/april to ride again...

    Bye, Marion
