hey i also have a 1984 vf750 honda interceptor this is my second one, did my share of work on this model over the years.....i changed my starter 2xs off ebay, voltage regulator 2xs off ebay, same problem bike starts when cold, seems like some resistance from the starter trying to turn, but it starts when cold and runs great... then when i turn the bike off when its hot it wont start up, i am about to change everything electric on the bike including the cdi boxes and wiring harness, just dont want to do that all if there is a problem with the motor u know? please let me know what u found out from your problem and u dont have to remover the lower rad just unbolt it and swing it up and loosen 2 bolts and pop that starter right out< can leave the oil filter on too i did it like this 2x's a hour each thanks heres my email please just reply to my email im new on this site thanks razortongue@verizon.net
