from the pics it looks to me like the stems are plastic covers probably over metal like the old style condom mirrors that we all upgrade from. it might just be the lighting in the pic, though...

    Integrated mirrors

I've not - but I did just buy a set for Santa to leave under the tree (not counting on the wife for everything).
I've been watching these on ebay as well; I was curious as to how they would look installed, so I did a quick photoshop job, and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Let me know what you think...
I'll post an update once I get them installed and let you know what the quality and fit are like - as well as the ease of integration into the lighting system.

    Personally speaking, :yuck:

There are already turn signals built in at the front so they'll do fine. On the Blackbird they look ok as its part of the design but it's just another thing to fix if the bike falls over imho

    UPDATE:
So the mirrors came in yesterday - great, super fast shipping. First impression is that the quality is a bit less than great, but not bad. Certainly not what you would expect from something like the Targa aero mirrors, but a fairly substantial weight, fit-and-finish, and operation. And the look is not bad either - I need to take a fresh look later today and get a second impression.
The real kicker is the installation; I had contacted the seller back a couple of weeks ago because there appeared to be nuts on the bottom end of the install bolts - but he confirmed that the installation on the VFR was exactly the same - bolt down from the top. This is definitely not the case. The supplied bolts fit down into a channel on the base, locking them in place, and the supplied locking nuts tighten from the backside of the fairing. There's no way to secure these in this manner to the third gen VFR, as you know the mirror mounts require a bolt-down application.
Also, there is a small rubber boot that covers just the mounting plate, but it does seem to pull away when the mirror stalks are pulled back to where I really want them to be.
So I'm on the fence at this point - I may look to see if I can find some round headed hex bolts to fit within the mirror mount channel to accommodate first. But the last thing I want is to have to re-fabricate the installation on a new product.
So bottom line, so far this is not a perfect solution out of the box.
    I'll keep you all posted.

So here's my update: The guy selling these is an absolute scumbag. I've been trying to return these and get a refund. First issue is that the guy is completely unresponsive -at least until I left him negative feedback, then he finally started getting back to me. I described in great detail how these cannot be mounted as is to a third gen VFR; his response was that having to buy additional hardware does not constitute a modification to the product, and therefore they do in fact mount as described to a 90-93 VFR. Can you freaking believe it? He's finally agreed to give me a refund, but is balking on refunding the shipping I paid - so he expects me to pay shipping both ways.
So now my only recourse is to file a dispute with PayPal, which is okay because PayPal is really fair, and really good about covering buyers.
That's my story - stay away from this vendor.

    Update to my update:
Check out this guys response - now mouting hardware isn't soemthing that ever should have been expected!!! What an asshole.

    ================================================================================

I have never heard such nonsense. We have sold literally THOUSANDS of mirrors on eBay, some without bolts entirely, and others like these that have unsuitable generic bolts included to suit some applications.

You are the very first person to claim that mounting bolts should have been included. Next you will be telling me that having to cut and splice the wires for the signals is also some sort of modification... although such a claim might actually make more sense than your ridiculous claim that mounting bolts should have been included.

I do actually have some bolts here that would suit your application. I could send them to you, but that would likely only create more problems as you would also expect me to send you a wrench to install the bolts, a pair of wire cutters and some electrical tape to wire your signals.... oh and of course a wiring diagram.

Or perhaps you would you prefer if I simply arranged for an mechanic and electrician to come to your house and install them for you?

Regardless, if you have received any item that is unsatisfactory, please include a copy of this email and return the item. S&H is not refundable.

if he has already refunded your money, then box the mirrors up, address the package to him, also put his address in the return address spot, and drop it in the mail with no postage. it will get there eventually.

40 negatives in the last month alone=not a good vendor. I would think twice before buying from him.

He's not going to refund until he recieves the items back. But not a problem, I have no doubt I'll get fully reimbursed through PayPal - had to do this once before a couple of years back over some fake RayBans. In the end, the idiot is trying to screw me over $14 in shipping, but in return gets yet another negative feedback, as well as getting exposed for the scumbag that he is to the enitre VFR community.

    Updates:
See thread at http://vfrworld.com/forums/third-fourth-generation-1990-1997/11666-integrated-mirrors.html for full details.
Even after returing the mirrors, I had to file a dispute through PayPal, who found in my favor and refunded the entire amount including the original shipping fee.
I paid to ship them back - but that was fine.
So the very next day, I get a notice from eBay saying that the seller has now filed an "Unpaid Item" complaint against me.
Just to bust my balls... Beauty - eh?
