That 1000R looks very familiar with those wrong tank decals.

I also recognize that tank in combo with a 86 solo cowl on an 85 tail.

Yep... it's that same one that also had the weird holes in both sides of the lowers.

Also, is it me or does the paint look faded on the left side of the bike?

 

Yeah... easily noticed by the contrast with the solo cowl from another bike that wasn't parked on the planet Mercury. The seat still looks nice and supple tho.

 

Yeah, I have wooden deck chairs that look more comfortable. Maybe I should just ask if he will sell the cowl?
