So I got my new clutch kit today and went to install it.... 9 friction and 8 steel plates, went to put that center bearing in and install the cover and is a big gap..

    Am I missing something?

OK, do you have a tech service manual? If so I can help you.

No I don't, I figured since I have replaced clutches on the ninja I had before it would be straight forward process. Usually the basket cover just slips on over then i install the springs and it's done.

Usually the the basket cover would install without any problems, never had a gap between the cover and the friction plate before.

Could the clutch not be disengaged? Never really dealt with hydraulic clutch before.

Another thing, clutch lever won't pull in anymore...is this normal? Did fine before I removed the old cluthes.
