I thought it would be really cool to have a gear indicator because im constantly forgetting what gear i'm in but I didn't buy this online. The only thing I have is a numbered display which you wire yourself that I got out of the parts drawer at Radioshack. Should be exactly the same as the ones you buy online but without the wires already connected. My question is now that I have this I am unsure where or which wires to be looking for on my bike, im not worried about the display wiring because its labeled but I just need help with where to hook up each wire for each different gear shift?

    Good question.

I have no idea.....but I've always wanted a gear position indicator. I'm always double checking on the highway that I'm in 6th.

An idea may be to look at some other hondas that came with a gear indicator and see if you can duplicate somehow the way they signal which gear it is in. Will this part from radio shack give out some kind of readng for neutral? I really like your idea and if you should figure it out let us know. I know they sell them for around 100bucks but what fun would that be.
