I previously posted a burnt connection at relay.

    VFR 750 4th gen

Installed new harness and blew the 30 amp on relay. I thought i followed correctly.

On old connector (going into relay) red wire was where melt took place.

What i did> 1:connected vfrness red to red/white at relay
2: cut tabs out of remaining 3 wires (at relay) at butted them together with 3 (new/supplied) wire extensions provided with kit.
3: turn key and lights up, hit started and blew 30 amp at relay.

All else seemed straight forward swap.
Possibly switched up wires? vfrness1.jpg vfrness2.jpg
    Please see pictures.

    Thanks
    Greg

If someone doesn't help you out here, reach out to tightwad at wiremybike. He was always really helpful to me in the past, and since he created the VFRness, he should know. I, for one, cannot help.

Sounds like you hooked switch to ground instead of coil on relay or coil of relay is shorted to ground.
