I've been agonizing for weeks on the decision of a new bike and finally have settled on VFR.

Been reading much on the differences between the older ones (pre vtec) and vtec, I will likely pursue a later model with the vtec.

Have found a few prices and wonder what everyone here thinks:

    New 2007 in 25th anniversary RW+B for $8300 +/-

2003 w/ 4000 in what appears from pics pretty immaculate condition w/ bags and a few mods for just under $5.5k

2004 w/ under 10K miles - asking $5750 but seems negotiable, could probably get for closer to $5000

Let me know what you think, thanks!

so, what do you guys think...brand new 07 RWB (not sure if abs) for $8675, from a local dealer.

    Versus:

    02, red, 10,00miles asking price $4400
    04, red, 7500 miles asking price $5200
07, RWB, 6000 miles seems to be bottomed out at $6000

    Thanks!

I don't know if you've already figured it in, but don't forget the additional fees if you buy a new one, it could be substantial depending on the dealer. I don't think I could bring myself to buy a new one. They've been out since '02 basically unchanged, you can get a nice used one for about half the price of new and still get the same enjoyment out of it. Unless your the kind of guy that just must have new, I say buy used. Then take the money you saved and get a CBR to play with, or get whatever mods you want like bars and seat.

I live in Va but I picked up mine from an out of state dealer for $8200 out the door. Bought this June. Zero miles. It was $10,300 at my local dealer. My ABS was $1000 cheaper than the local dealers non ABS. Go figure. He said he had the best prices in the state. No problem the drive was nice.

Went back later and told them what I paid. The salesman's jaw dropped.

Great deals are out there if you have the patience and time.

I just got my 02 VFR two days ago. 6440 miles, bone stock and clean.....$4100. I had to drive 450 miles round trip to get it but the ride home was great.
