I realize there are several differences between the 1987 VFR700F and the 1987 VFR700F2.

As I am looking for Inner fairing Panels-Left and Right for a 1986 VFR750F to increase my options wondering IF the 1987 VFR700F2 pieces WILL or WILL NOT fit??

Anyone who could help would most definitely appreciate your input.

    With thanks

    Ricardo

The F2 panels have a flare that meets up with the squared edge of the gauges. Hopefully these photos will load so you can see the difference.

Most unfortunately, those panels have been nearly UNOBTAINABLE for years. You won't find them anywhere.

However, i'm planning to fab up a few on a 3-D printer if things work out, so stay tuned............:tickled_pink:

Jeff92--VERY THANKFUL for your time and efforts. Clarified exactly what I needed to know. Wish the news were that they were interchangeable. :frown-new:

Squirrelman--I'd be VERY INTERESTED in your results (no doubt so would many others). Please keep me in mind when you have progressed this to a workable set. THANKYOU

My research indicates a Mr. Charles Crites of "Cobalt Racing" aka vfrchuck used to produce several reproduction pieces for the 1986/87 models including the inner panel inserts.

Is Mr. Crites still producing these pieces?

Does a member perhaps have additional information that could help (location, contact info, still in production etc)??

Once again my THANKS for the helpful information.
