Hi I got a TFI 1020 for my 1998 vfr800. Found these pics online
    Honda VFR800 Control Unit Installation
Looks like I only need to hook up 6 wires to the bike but I am not sure Ill be able to do it myself. I am planning to set it up tonight on my bike.
I have a two brothers exhaust that needs a little tweaking. Does anyone have any pics or a video of the tfi installed? or are there any pics on this website?
I found one video in youtube showing the installation of the TFI unit on a Harley.

Well i guess the only way to find out is to do it. i put the tfi yesterday. I should post some pics. I hooked it up under the seat. there is a black and a gray connector next to the tail light for the computer or whatever that black box is. I took the 3 gray cables and the blue one in the tfi and clip them to the 3 pink with strip cables in the black connector of the computer. I attach the tfi unit to the top of the blackbox. I did not see any o2 sensors on my vfr 98 but i am not sure yet if there is one. I used the electric diagram to figure out which were the injector wires. I went for a drive yesterday and it ran smooth.

Hey, sorry- missed your post and could have sent you a picture. I put the TFI on my 03' and it was a new bike. Smooth as silk. Did you have any trouble with the install?

I know this was an old post but I thought I'd share my experience. I have a TFI on my VFR I had problems with the first one, sent it back and had a quick replacement. It worked great for a short time then had more problems. I noticed last time it started running rough that the unit was quite hot. I've moved it to the way-back now, by the taillight and all is well with the world. Heat from my rear cylinder headers was roasting it I believe. It is a good device. Makes the bike run much smoother and more responsive.
