When the ambient temperature is below 10 degrees celius my right hand indicator doesn't come on straight away. It might take 5 or 6 attempts to turn it on. When the weather warms up it starts to work again, and it will wotk if I sit the bike in the sun for a while. Has any body seen this before? What is the fix?

I've had this problem to. I don't have to select several times to get the indicator working but it sometimes takes about 5 seconds to start to blink. The LH is abit slow but the RH very slow. Once working the blink rate is normal. I gave the switch a good squirt of contact ceaner and then WD40 and it seemed to help.

Thanks Ian I will try that. I notice yours is a yellow one as well. I hope its not colour related, like the people that think red is faster. TIC.

It sounds like you need to get some cold weather blinker fluid. The bike comes stock with the all-weather kind, but if you live in a cold area you need to get the cold-weather stuff. Check at your local Auto-Zone or Napa, they should be able to hook you up.

it's good thinking because I had the same problem and was everything good when I used contact cleaner to indicators switch

this mechanism is really unclean after few years .....

just give many contact clenaer, taki some brush to clean all the weather dirtiness and give the compressed air, one more time contact cleaner and one more time air, and then could be wd40. should be better
