idle too high?????Exhaust too loud

is 2500 normal? i read a few articles in here and i am confused.
My bike idles @ 2500 in 80 - 30 degrees ambient, rain or sunny ,right at start or 1/2 hour later. i think ive seen her idle @ 1500 twice i liked it , she was mellow, sweet! i dont remeber why, maybe it was somethink i said!
The rest of the time she just sounds pissed, the jardines dont help either.

Q1- whats a normal idle (86 VFR 700F)
Q2 -should i go back to stock or whats a good quiet muffler
Q3- if i move the cans under the bike will that effect top speed or low?
