I have decided to try and put the 91 VFR750 On the road for a couple of months while I finish the 90 VFR. So far I found the steering head bearings need to be adjusted or replaced, and while I was doing this I found the front fork seals are shot. Since I have to remove the forks I would like to check the fork springs, when I bought the bike I was told it had a newer set of Progressive Suspension fork springs. Does anyone know if there is a way to tell if they really are Progressive springs? In addition does anyone know the proper spacer length and amount of fork oil ( best weight oil ? ) for this spring set? I went to the Progressive Suspension Webb site but it's Tech phone number does not like Canada, I guess
Try sending them detailed pics of the springs. Maybe look for some kind of makers mark or stamping, send them measurements. That's your best bet. If not maybe quiz the Previous owner up?

If your fork springs are OEM save them if you switch to progressively wound springs. 90-93 VFRs when converted to gold valveving use the stock or non-progressive springs. Several sources for a download of the service manual for these VFRs.
