I need some advice , if you own any of these jackets or know them well Id like your input .

Im currently shopping for a good jacket something way better than my JoeRocket Honda one , protection and durability wise . I guess the AS would be more track oriented and the Icon more casual if I can put it this way , I just want to know if one is way better than the other and why .

If I got the Icon Timax 2 leather jacket I'd finally have the six-pack I wouldn't otherwise ever be able to accomplish.

Everything I own that says ICON has slowly but surely fallen apart. Take your cash elsewhere. ICON DOES NOT care about your safety or quality. They only care about image & appearance.

Buy the Alpinestars. Make sure you try it on since everything AStars makes is sized for skinny European guys. As long as the jacket fits, it should be a quality product.

Now then, if I were in the market to buy a new leather jacket, it would be this one (only $25 more):

RS Taichi GMX-Motion Vented Leather Jacket Red from SportbikeTrackGear.com

    KC-10 FE out...

I've never used Icon so I can't comment, but I have read some less than flattering reviews. I've been using A-Stars for a long time now and I've never seen so much as a stich fail, on any of there gear. Between the two you're looking at that the A-Stars also has more CE approved armour. I think that A-Stars would be a great decision, but you may want to look at more of their models, the neck hump is great for a track but can be a bit much for the road. Depends on where your interests lay I suppose. And check all of the usuall suspects for clearence pricing, kneedraggers.com, bikebandit.com, etc. etc.
