I need a new setting bolt . I lost one of mine and I can not find a place to purchase one. It is the bolt that holds the rear seat cowl on. My bike is a 1998 VFR 800 FI interceptor. IT has two of them one on each side. can anyone help me find a place to purchase one ? My service manuel calls them a setting bolt.

Service Honda has remote access to their parts manuals.

There is also a downloadable parts manual here: downloadable
    parts catalogs service manuals

Bike bandit also has an online parts list, though their part numbers do not correspond to manufacturers part numbers.

    Same issue for me ...

Did you ever find one? I just bought a 2001 and the seller said that one fell out and he called his Honda dealership and they quoted ~$13. I am planning on stopping by my dealership in VT and asking.

    Hmm

Do you really need the frankenbolt ? How often do you hook bungie cords over there ? Just buy two bog-standard m5 allen bolts and use them. Cost ?
    < $1.
