I love my wife.

She brought it up, but I told her I wanted to allocate $3k for rebuilding the CBR954 and doing some work on the VFR (RaceTech suspension, and misc bits...)

So, we set that money aside. We talked about parting out the CBR. I really don't want to do that as I have some sentimental attachment to that bike. We rode to the Chapel to get married on it. She also wants me to fix the 954 so we can go riding on the track (2up) this year. She misses it. A lot.

You got a" good woman there. When I want to spend money on mine, my wife just shakes her head and says you will do what you want anyways." I feel like I am misunderstood.

Nope, my wife is not the slightest interested in my bike but she is incredibly understanding of my spending to keep mine in "relativelly" good shape. That is when I am not striping the oil pan, dropping it off the truck, riding it in terrential rain pours, lightning storms, snow flurries and oh whatever else stupid I have done these last few years.

 

I got dib's on her sister.

im not married, but my girlfriend funded half my vfr cause she knew I had to have a bike in my life and I was getting depressed not having one since we moved. But she does get to have full use of the jeep now without having to work out scheduling for us to get to work.

 

Actually, I am supporting HER habit along with mine. I keep her Ninja 500 running (fun bike!) and she told me if I don't fix the CBR she gets punished too because we won't be going to the track.

 

1/2$vfr = happy boyfriend+1/1 jeep, smart girl.

 

I lucked out too, my wife got her own riding gear after I got my VFR. I've got a '78 Trans Am I've had before we got married so she sees it's futile to grumble when I throw cash at it.

 

For the Viffer today I contacted Jamie D for the forks and reworked 929 shock. I also bought a right side case cover and front turn signal lens.

The case cover has been weeping oil since I had my crash on the VFR a couple of years ago. Time to replace it.

 

I too was sad to see my CBR go, but it was becoming a money pit. Wife flipped out when I had about $700 worth of work done to it, but there was a lot of new parts. But then, that, other than tires, is the only thing I've spent on it. She has her own ride, (Spyder, as most of you know) and doesn't like to ride as much as I. She doesn't get mad when I go out without her, but I don't like to do so. I love her too. Guess that's why we've been married for 11 years. I had a bike when we met, and I hope to keep one as long as I can ride. She already knows my next bike will probably be a BMW. I'm sure she's looking to spend that kind of $$.
