I read an old post here about how someone with a 6th gen noticed that the engine has started to feel like it has more vibration and while there is no loss of power it seems like the smooth soft vibration has been replaced with a harsh coarse vibration. If you can imagine hitting a hammer into rubber, there is the vibration, but is soft. Now take that hammer and hit something hard. That is what my engine feels like. It used to be smooth now it's not. I thought that maybe I was loosing power, but on my ride today with a Ducati club, my bike was lifting the front tire with a vengeance. The only thing I have done recently is pull out the PAIR valve and plug the hoses, but it was feeling this way before this mod.

Ideas? I'm on my 4th tank of Chevron gas from different stations, no change. It's not chain related as it's present when revved and stationary. My injectors were cleaned about 6-7,000 miles ago. It does seem to be getting worse, but that may be my imagination. I did notice this morning when I went to start it, it took longer to start than it normally does and it's only sat since Friday afternoon.

Anything unusual in the oil? Maybe cut open an oil filter & look for metal shavings? If the problem isn't drivetrain or drivability (fuel and/or ignition) related, start looking at engine/mechanical as the source. Hopefully not!

Lint, how many miles are on your bike? I don't know what I'm talking about here, just throwing this out there. Could it be a worn cam chain tensioner allowing the cam chain to be rubbing? Hopefully it's just something like an exhaust leak or bad plug or plug wire. Keep us in the loop.

Sorry, 27K or so. I have not had the valves checked, but so many here say it's not really necessary. I am kind of guessing it may be tensioner related. I have to dig into it. Ugh.
