Well I bought the Triumph Tiger sport last weekish and happened to mention to the shop owner that I was looking for a change in career direction he then asked when I wanted to start

When I picked up the Bike I spoke to him Further about this for about an Hour or so

Then Today I went in and signed the contract to Be part of the sales Team

Then I was able to go and give my termination notice to my current employer Yahoo Yippee

No more 13,14,16 hour days staring at the white lines of the Hi-Way I am so over driving Trucks sooo much work for so little money
I was Glad to be employed and have money coming in

But Life is for living not spending every waking hour trying to fund it by working

Hopefully it works out well as I have done this type of sales work in the past

    I will be selling new
    Triumph's
    Ducati's
    Kawasaki's

Along with what ever trades roll in the door

1 more week of truck driving and then a week off (Triumph Tiger riding Time) then I start in 2nd week of February

READ, READ, READ!!! Grant Cardone, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Think and Grow Rich, Zig Ziglar, etc. Become a master at helping people make a decision. Master your craft, learn as much as you can, quickly. Ride the bikes, so you know what you're selling. Selling bikes is a blast, I've done it. But, you need to be on a crash course of learning all you can about setting as well as all the different bikes and why this over that, etc. Be eager, be coachable and humble. The will get you very far in life. Selling is fun, when you know what you're doing, and you're fun transfers to the customer. ALWAYS GET REFERRALS!!! They are with gold and diamonds!!! Also, listen to boss on audio while you're driving, get a headstart to learning. www.audible.com. Google Think and Grow Rich audio. A lot of places have it free.

Zig Zigler's questioning technique is all you need. When we were selling retail audio, one of the questions we always asked was, "How much speaker wire do you need?" If they said X amount of feet, you had your sale, then comes the hardest part, stop talking!!

I've sold cars before, but selling bikes may be even better. Good luck on your new gig.

Awesome, I'll have to call in one day and feign interest in a Triumph!

IIRC that business used to be owned by (struggles with failing memory) a nice northern English couple? Cath and Brian Barnsley? Been a long time since I've been anywhere near there though.
