Howdy, I am a new addition to the forum. I have just ordered two new 2006 Interceptors. One with ABS for my wife to ride and the other without ABS for myself. We live in some of the best riding country, the Texas hill country. we both have been riding of and on for about 50 years. I teach the MSF beginner and experience rider course in Austin and San Antonio and have taught the Rider's Edge courses as well. We are both about 5' 6" tall so I am looking for any suggestions on lowering kits, handlebar risers or touring windshields. Thanks and Ride Safe.
Welcome! There is lots of talk on here about everything you're looking for. One thing a lot of folks love to use for lowering and comfort is a sergeant seat!
Boy howdy to you! Check out these guys at Sigma Cycles. VFR lowering kit is a tab on the left side of the page. They are the best. Straight shooters and perfect customer service. Fabulous quality stuff. Talk to Ron Drake.
Welcome to the wonderfully addictive world of VFR's. I am 5'4" and allthough it is a small challenge I am able to comfortably operate my 03' w/ABS @ stock ride height. I have ridden with the stock seat and I now have a Seargent seat on mine (highly reccomended!). I also have a MRA Vario-Touringscreen for mine (also highly reccomended). I have Heli bars installed and they seem to be just the perfect height for me, slightly agressive body position but not hunched over all the time. Still low enough to get into a tuck and let that V4 sing too! Good luck with your new toys and keep us updated on your mods!
Two? Woo hoo! Two is always better than one, right? Well most times.....hello and welcome to you boss....take off yer shoes and make yourself at home....unless your feet stink...then keep them on please....
Hey I am stoked to have a MSF teacher on board. Just dont give me your email address or I will bleed you dry with newbie questions . Welcome brother!
