I've cased this site for over a year but never really let know I was around until now. I'm riding the 2003 straight up stock other than a Throttlemeister cruise control and I relieved the back fender. I plan to add a power commander and somewhat taller windscreen over the winter.

I had a '94 VFR, then had an RC51 for a while. A great bike but either it or I needed major mods to ride VFR type distances.

I rode day trips to Mid Ohio (AMA SBK) and Peoria (AMA GNC TT) this summer and plan to do more distance in 2007.

Currently scouting Iron Butt 'Saddle Sore' routes out of northern Indiana, if interested.

What is Iron butt? Look up www.ironbutt.com

Hi Hoosier and welcome to the group. How do you like that throttlemester? I am consideringone but it will be a while befoer I can get one. Be sure to post some pic into the phot gallery for all to see. I have been to Warsaw. It's a nice area with some good scenery. I ate at a restaurant for lunch during a job interview. It was on a lake shore, but I don't remember the route we took to get there or the name of the place. But I did enjoy the view of the lake.

    Thanks Vman.

The throttlemeister is nice to have whenver you get out of town. The ride to Mid Ohio proved it for me. Being able to lessen the amount of pressure on the right hand and wrist is super, and because it sets and releases naturally ( the right way) it doesn't take an extra thought to close the throttle when you don't have time for extra thoughts.

Throttlemeister got me my unit in about three days. I ordered mine in the heavier size and satin finish then dropped them by the local powder coater for the flat black treatment. Ten bucks and they look like could be stock, just about .400 longer.

BTW, your restaraunt was probably the Boathouse or Bistro A'lago. Both are good. Both are good.

In town for orthopedics? It's what we do here.

    Thank you Reg71,

Iron butt's probably still a pipe dream for me. There is a great circuit around Lake Michigan that I'd like to do but I'd probably get hung up on the scenery, blow off the time limit and end up taking three or four days up there.

My best laid plan is to chart an interstate only circuit with a minimum of highways or surface streets. Timing against metro traffic is the only real headache that I foresee, but of course having never tried it...

Warsaw! I'm in Fort Wayne. I'm not into the later model VFR's but more so the early models. Even so, if there's anything I can help you with please let me know!
