Does anyone know how humidity will affect the vfr's operation.

We had a real humid night here last night and my bike was doing some funky stuff.. seemed to want to want to climb in rpm real fast and seemed to surge at about 5000 in every gear... it was not the smooth ride is usually is.

I could not find a decent steady throttle spot in any gear...may have just been me but the gal sure seemed to know the air was real wet...

    thoughts?

High humidity will cause your bike to loose power (along with other engines)...so maybe that is some of what you were noticing. Depending on how high the humidity was. Sounds like you might have something else going on there though. Bad gas maybe?

The 97 seems sluggish in high humidity, but runs pretty normal.

ok, said differently...this makes sense.. I was loosing power and was having to peg up the rpm to get back what I was missing...she is such a fine ride that I noticed the loss quickly. Thanks mate. I just knew the machine was off a bit..

    cheers
