    Hi all.
I've been looking to buy a VFR for some time and finally took the plunge!
    I've snagged a 2002 with 6900 miles. Italian Red.
Will be changing the fluids etc over the next week as it has obviously not been used.
This is a great site I've allready learned a lot.
Any tips or warnings will be much appreciated. I'm fairly handy with the toolbox but the V4 has always scared me as it seems so complex. Hopefully I won't have any problems!
I'm interested in buying a toolkit if anyone has one laying around.
    Cheers.
    Dom

WELCOME!! and yes, we LOVE pictures. If you do not post a picture here your bike doesn't exist! lol. My only advice is to get used to the transition point for your V-TEC engagement. Hitting it in a corner exit can really get your attention. Enjoy the bike. Finest I have ever owned - not the lightest, just the finest.

In my opinion the VTEC is useless and annoying and the linked braking system makes bleeding the brakes a pain in the arse. The good news is that the brakes work very well and you will be annoyed with the VTEC for a very very long time since these bikes are solid and the engines last forever with proper maintenance. Other than than those two gripes I like my 6th Gen. Welcome aboard!

Oh, one more thing, don't forget to check to see if the wiring recall was done on the bike. Contact your local Honda dealer with the VIN to see if the recall was done already. The recall affected 2002-2005 models.

    Regards,
    Rollin
