Hello all, I just bought my first bike, a 85 500 Interceptor. I picked it up for 100 bucks with 32000 miles. It's only been laid down once. Super clean. I'll post pics today. It's all black and worthy of a Scrolling LED on the front, hence the Knight Rider references. I'm converting from the world of DSM so bare with my terminology. I'm hoping to find a "lowering spring." I know that it is not the spring that dictates the ride heighth, but I am unsure what the to call the bar that does. I'm also looking into an exhaust that actually works, an upper oil mod, an F2 Rear wheel mod, and getting a rear spring mod. Maybe get it jetted and try and find someone to gear the tranny. I've been searching this forum for the last couple of days before I actually joined and I've found alot of info for my bike by searching the threads. I'm also relieved that there just so happens to be a guru for my bike in my city. I'll be contacting you soon about some mods Jamie. Thanks for having me all, and safe riding!

    Congrats and welcome aboard.

I'm not very good with a wrench, and I've never met/spoke to Jamie, but man I wish I had a guy like that in my neck of the woods!

    Good luck!

Yer tellin me! I bought the bike and a car for 1100 and sold the car for 1000. it was a great deal. I figure I'll be going the street fighter route after next season. I just got it and as my sig. implies, I like to go fast before I like to look good doing it. Maybe not so much street fighter, but definitely get rid of the whale tail on the back and get rid of the rear fender, do a custom tail light. I like the front end but not the back... I'm more of a naked bike kind of guy but I like the way it looks on the front with the minimal fairings.
