Howdy I rode a 87 VFR 700 for almost 10 years. My knees went south and unfornatly I had to sell all my bikes. I worked in several bike shops in Maryland and North Carolina. I plan on buying another VFR a real VFR soon. I rode the last 14 years over 100,000 miles. When I worked for a Honda dealer in Md. several times a VFR 700 came in for parts with over 100K miles on it. If it's not gear driven cams I don't want it.

Hey Billy. I understand the knee thing. I lowered my pegs and installed a Sargent seat on my 5th Gen and now I can ride all day (as long as I crawl off and walk around every 100 miles or so.) My knees can't take being wadded up in full race mode.

There are a few options out there. Check out this thread if you'd like. BusylittleShop is usually a little busier over at the other site.

Welcome aboard, Billy. Good luck in your search for a new ride.

You might want to check out our classifieds on this site. Wouldn't ya know it - I'm selling my 2000 which of course, has the gear driven cams.
